WatchX Privacy Policy
Health and fitness information is sensitive. We process it only to provide the health and device features you choose. We do not sell health data or use it for targeted advertising or data brokerage.
Contents
1. Scope and Data Controller
This Policy applies to the WatchX international app, compatible watches and related online services. WatchX Health Tech Co., Limited is the controller of personal data described in this Policy unless another operating entity is expressly identified in the applicable regional app-store listing. Submit privacy requests through Me > Settings > Help Center or service@watchx.network.
- Data independently handled by third-party websites, app-distribution platforms, maps or other independent platforms is governed by their own policies.
2. Account and Profile Data
We process email address, display name, avatar, password-verification information, account identifiers, language, theme, notification preferences and session information to register accounts, authenticate users, maintain sessions, recover accounts and provide account tools.
- Passwords are used for authentication and should be handled through secure credential mechanisms. We do not display your original password in the app.
- You can update profile details in the app and should keep submitted information reasonably accurate. Inaccurate details may affect account recovery, notices or service responses.
3. Health, Fitness and Location Data
When you connect a compatible watch and enable synchronization, we may process data actually supported and returned by that watch, including steps, distance, calories, heart rate, SpO₂, sleep stages and duration, stress, workout records, pace, cadence, stride, heart-rate zones, exercise intensity and recovery-related information.
- Outdoor workouts may include GPS route, time, altitude and pressure. On older Android versions, location may also be needed to discover nearby Bluetooth devices; the purpose is disclosed before permission is requested.
- Health data primarily comes from your paired WatchX watch and its SDK and may be cached locally. When signed in, it may be sent to our servers for account synchronization and backup as designed.
- We do not use health, fitness or precise workout-route data for advertising profiles, targeted marketing, data brokerage or training general-purpose AI models unrelated to the Services.
4. Watch, Device and Technical Data
To connect over Bluetooth, determine compatibility, synchronize, troubleshoot and update devices, we may process watch name, model, device identifier or Bluetooth address, firmware version, battery level, GPS/AGPS capability, connection state, sync time and settings you write to the watch.
- Online Services may also receive IP address, device model, operating system, app version, language, time zone, request time, security logs and crash or performance diagnostics.
6. AI Creation Data
When you use AI creation, we process prompts, reference images or video, generation settings, task status, outputs and Power usage. To complete a request, this data may be sent to model or cloud-processing providers bound by contract.
- Do not include unnecessary health data, identity documents, account credentials or another person’s sensitive information in prompts or reference media.
- Unless separately and clearly disclosed with any required consent, we do not use private chats, health data or private reference media to train public general-purpose models.
7. Points, Power Top-ups and Support Data
We process points balances and ledger entries, points tips, message or call quota, AI-generation Power usage and the reasons for related changes. This supports points history, in-app points features and record reviews.
- Power top-ups are processed through Apple App Store or Google Play. We process product IDs, store order or transaction IDs, purchase tokens or signed receipts, obfuscated identifiers linking an app account, and Power balances, ledger entries and refund status. These support purchase verification, crediting Power, preventing duplicate credits, reconciliation and support. The store handles full payment-card details; WatchX does not request those details from you.
- Feedback and help requests may include contact details, issue descriptions, screenshots or attachments and follow-up communications you provide.
8. Permissions and Sources
Data may come directly from you, a paired watch and its SDK, your interactions with the Services, interactions from other users and providers operating infrastructure for us. System permissions are requested only when relevant to a feature.
- Bluetooth and nearby devices: discover and connect a watch and sync data. Legacy Android location: nearby Bluetooth discovery only. Camera: capture an image you choose to send. Microphone: voice messages and call audio. Photos, videos and files: select only media you choose to upload. Notifications: enabled message, activity, health or service alerts. Network: connect to online services.
- You can withdraw permissions in system settings, but dependent features may stop working.
9. Purposes and Legal Bases
We process personal data to provide requested Services and perform our contract, with consent for sensitive processing where required, to comply with legal obligations, and for legitimate interests in security and service improvement. The exact basis depends on the data, feature and region.
- Core purposes include authentication, watch connection and sync, health and workout displays, route replay, social and chat features, content generation, points accounting, support, abuse prevention, diagnostics and legal compliance.
- Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw it at any time. Withdrawal does not affect processing already performed lawfully.
11. No Data Sale and Advertising Limits
WatchX does not sell personal data or “share” it with third parties for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not use health, fitness, precise location, private chats or private AI materials for targeted advertising, marketing profiles or data brokerage.
- If this business practice changes, we will update this Policy first, provide legally required opt-outs and obtain express consent where sensitive-data processing requires it.
12. International Transfers
International users’ data may be processed in countries where the operating entity or providers are located, whose data-protection rules may differ from those where you live. As required, we use adequacy decisions, standard contractual clauses, transfer-risk assessments, contractual and security controls or another lawful mechanism.
13. Retention and Deletion
Request account and associated data deletion through Me > Settings > Account Center > Delete Account, or email service@watchx.network without installing the app. We reasonably verify ownership. See https://testabout.watchx.network/account-deletion-en.html for instructions.
- After an in-app request is accepted, the system schedules background processing for 7 days later; use the scheduled date shown in the app. The task removes sport, sleep, daily activity, health questionnaire, device and push records, revokes refresh tokens, and disables and anonymizes the account. Discover posts are hidden and content fields cleared; associated uploads and exports are processed for deletion. Acceptance does not mean deletion is complete.
- Points ledger entries, transaction and audit records are retained for financial reconciliation, security investigations and applicable legal requirements. Periods depend on the purpose and applicable requirements; no uniform automatic purge period is currently set. Ask support about specific records, reasons and periods. The automated flow does not cover item-by-item removal of all chat, AI records and backups; identify these in your request for support to review and respond.
- Clearing cache or uninstalling the app does not automatically delete your server account. Data on a watch or in copies saved by other users requires separate handling. Support replies with email-request arrangements and outcomes after verifying ownership.
14. Security
We use technical and organizational measures proportionate to risk, such as transmission protection, token and credential safeguards, access controls, least-privilege access, logging and backup management. No system is absolutely secure. If you detect unusual account or data activity, change your password and contact the Help Center promptly.
- Protect your password, verification codes and signed-in devices. Do not disclose credentials, and change your password promptly if a device is lost or a sign-in appears unusual.
15. Your Privacy Rights and Choices
Depending on applicable law, you may request information or access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, objection, withdrawal of consent, and review or appeal of certain automated decisions or request outcomes. We may reasonably verify identity before responding.
- Use Profile, content deletion, permission settings, notification settings, blocking or account-deletion tools first. If a tool is unavailable, submit the request through the Help Center.
- You may complain to a competent data-protection authority where you live. You will not receive discriminatory treatment for exercising rights where prohibited by law.
16. Regional Notices
Users in the EEA, UK and Switzerland may request details of applicable legal bases and transfer safeguards and may complain to a supervisory authority. Residents of certain U.S. states may request to know, access, correct, delete or obtain a copy, or opt out of applicable sale, sharing and targeted advertising. WatchX currently does not sell personal data or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
- If local law provides broader rights, those rights apply. An authorized agent may submit a request after required identity and authority checks.
17. Children and Teenagers
The WatchX international service is intended for users aged 18 or older and is not directed to minors. If we learn that a minor has provided personal data, contact us through the Help Center or official email so we can verify the situation and take appropriate deletion or restriction steps.
18. Automated Analysis
WatchX may automatically calculate trends, workout zones, sleep statistics, content recommendations or risk signals. These outputs support product displays and user management and are not used alone to make decisions with legal or similarly significant effects. AI outputs and health notices do not replace human judgment or professional advice.
19. Policy Updates and Contact
We may update this Policy as Services, technology or law changes. Material changes will be notified in-app, by email or through another reasonable method, with renewed consent where required. Questions, complaints or rights requests may be submitted through Me > Settings > Help Center or service@watchx.network. You may also complain to a competent data-protection authority where you live.
5. Content, Community and Chat Data
When you use Discover, Works or Chat, we process images, short videos, text, comments, likes, follows, tips, messages, voice, files and related timestamps and interactions that you choose to upload, publish or send. Public content is shown to others according to your publishing settings.
